PURPOSE:To eliminate a separating circuit and a selector, etc., to cause a multiple optical signal receiving device to be compact and to cause energy consumption to be low by executing the separation of one optical signal out of wavelength multiple optical signals with using the temperature dependency of a photodetecting wavelength. CONSTITUTION:Only the single optical signal of set operating temperature corresponding wavelength out of the wavelength multiple optical signals, which is made incident to an optical amplifying element 45, is outgone from the optical amplifying element 45 and inputted to a constituting element in the rear step of the multiple optical signal receiving device. When the single optical signal of the wavelength to be desired to be outgone from the optical amplifying element 45 is desired to be changed (set) to the other wavelength, a temperature setting signal to correspond to the wavelength to be desired to be changed is given from a temperature control device 60 to an operation temperature setting device 43. Accordingly, the operation temperature of the optical amplifying element 45 is obtained as the temperature to correspond to the wavelength to be desired to be changed and the single optical signal of the wavelength is outgone from the optical amplifying element 45. Thus, the separating circuit and selector, etc., are eliminated and the device is made compact. Then, the energy consumption can be made low. |
