A cold rolled steel sheet, suitable for enamel coating, has the composition (by weight) of up to 0.005% C, up to 0.02% P, up to 0.03% S, 0.005-0.012% N, up to 0.15% Ti, up to 0.08 Cu, balance Fe, the Ti content being at least (48/12C+48/14N+48/32S)%. The steel also contains 0.003-0.3% total of one or more of As, Sb and Bi, 0.003- 0.005% Se and/or Te, or 0.002-0.05% total of one or more of As, Sb and Bi plus Se and/or Te. The steel sheets is manufactured by continuous casting, hot and cold rolling and by the continuous or box annealing. |
