PURPOSE:To form an image without being omitted even if a document is placed in a shifted state by providing a document shift detecting sensor for detecting a shift the document which has been placed and a correction control means for controlling a part of an image forming mechanism, based on the shift. CONSTITUTION:In the lower part of a document placing plate 1, a sensor holding frame 4 for holding document size detecting sensors 51-55 at a prescribed interval is positioned, and in a sensor holding frame part 4a of one end part of the sensor holding frame 4, namely, in the vicinity of a document scale 3, a document shift detecting sensor 6 is attached. In such a way, the document shift detecting sensor 6 detects a shift of a document which has been placed on the document placing plate, and a correction control means controls, for instance, a lens body or a feed paper means, based on its detecting signal, and forms exactly an image. In such a way, even when the document has been placed in a shifted state to some extent, the image can be formed normally. |
