This protective helmet is provided with means allowing, on the one hand, rapid fastening of a removable breathing mask 2 and, on the other hand, pivoted mounting of a transparent protective visor 9. On each side of the top 1 of the helmet is attached, on the outside, a deep-drawn piece 7 comprising a notch 3 for attaching one of the side anchoring arms 4 of the breathing mask 2, and which constitutes at the same time a pivot element for a bar 8 supporting the pivoting visor 9.
