PURPOSE:To obtain the titled crystal body with high crystallinity useful as a catalyst with very high activity in the conversion reaction of an org. compound by heating a reactive mixture contg. a silica source, a transition metallic source and/or an alumina source, water and diglycolamine. CONSTITUTION:A reactive mixture contg. a silica source such as solid silica powder or colloidal silica, a transition metallic source such a sulfate or chloride of iron, nickel or titanium and/or an alumina source such as sodium aluminate, water and diglycolamine is heated under the conditions of temp. and time required to form crystalline silicate, e.g., at about 80-300 deg.C for about 0.5-4 days to manufacture crystalline silicate having a chemical composition represented by the formula (where R is a uni- or bivalent cation; n is the valence of R; M is a tervalent transition metallic cation; a+b=1; a>=0; b>=0; and y>=12) when shown by the molar ratio of oxides in the dehydrated form. This silicate is used as a catalyst with high activity in a reaction for synthesizing an aromatic compound or lower olefin from alcohol or ether and other reaction. |
