PURPOSE:To prevent an image signal from deteriorating in frequency characteristics by providing a signal electrode driving means which converts a digital image signal into one of DC voltage signals of plural specific levels and sends the DC voltage signal out to signal electrodes. CONSTITUTION:A source driver 2 converts the input digital image signal or video signal and obtains the amplitude-modulated analog signal, and sends the analog signal out to the signal electrodes 102 of a TFT (Thin Film Transistor) liquid crystal panel 100. Then, an up/down counter and decoder circuit 20, a digital data memory 30, a data decoder circuit 40, a level shifter circuit 60, and a D/A conversion output circuit 50. Then, the digital image signal is converted into one of the DC voltage signals of the plural specific levels and this DC voltage signal is sent to the signal electrodes 102. Consequently, the deterioration of frequency characteristics of the image signal due to a sampling time constant can be evaded. |
