The internal arcing protection uses the components to be protected contained within an outer sleeve which is metallised on the inside for acting as an outer conductor enclosing an inner conductor (1). The inner and/or outer conductor (1, 2) is provided by a number of parallel conductor paths (5) adjacent the support structure (3), extending at a given angle (alpha') to the centre axis. The latter angle (alpha') pref ensures that when an arc occurs a magnetic field is generated which interacts with the magnetic field of the arc to generate a higher azimuthal force.
