A method for continuous dip-plating of a steel strip comprises passing the steel strip (1) through a bath of molten plating metal (3) wherein the steel strip (1) is passed upwardly between a pair of substantially vertical, substantially parallel flow regulating plates (6), the upper ends of which are disposed near to the surface of the molten metal.
