Setting force generator for lathe chuck jaws - uses hollow drive spindle contg. axially adjustable setting rod to move jaws
摘要
The chuck (1) is connected rotationally to the drive spindle (4) or to a part (4") of it that carries both the motion conversion arrangement (9) and a drive member (7) driving the drive spindle. The chuck can be coupled in and out. A setting wheel (11',11") rotates coaxially on the drive spindle. An axial connecting device (13) lies between the output member (10) of the conversion arrangement and a setting rod (8) that moves axially inside the hollow drive spindle in order to operate the clamping jaw (2). This connecting device (13) allows the output member and the rod to rotate freely w.r.t. one another. ADVANTAGE - Both setting rod and chuck can be operated by rotating drive spindle.
