Foaming liq. detergent consists of 3-40 (wt)% first alkyl polyglycoside (I), 3-40% second alkyl polyglycoside (II), 0-10% solvent aid (IIII), 0-10% electrolyte (IV) and 0-3% additives in water to 100%. Compsn. have formula, R10O-Znl (I); and R2-O-Zn2 (II). Where R1 = an (un)satd. branched or linear alkyl gp. with an ave. of 7-10C; Znl = a polyglycosyl radical with 1-3 hexose and/or pentose units; R2 = an (un)satd. branched or linear 11-18C alkyl gp., esp. a 12-18C fatty alkyl gp.; Zn2 = a polyglycosyl radical with n2 = 1-3 hexose and/or pentose units, esp. n2 = 1.1-2 glycoside units. (III) can be low mol. mono- or polyhydric alcohols, ethers of polyhydric alcohols, alkanolamines and/or hydrophobic substances; and (IV) alkali and/or alkaline earth halides. The (I)/(II) ratio is 1:1-10.
