<p>Peptides or polypeptides, especially monoclonal antibodies, which are specific for a given cell type are labelled by making them from spin-labelled (for example 19F-labelled) amino acids. The peptides are used for NMR imaging. In particular, tumours can be imaged by using antibodies against a tumour antigen such as carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA).</p> |
