<p>The invention relates to a solid-state strip-laser device incorporated monolithically in a generator of optical frequencies which differ from the emission frequency of the laser.
<??>According to the invention, the solid-state laser device with laser diode (43) pumping includes a strip (41), which is the seat of the laser effect, made from an optically non-linear material, by doping with a rare earth (42), and comprises an optical waveguide (44) made, parallel to the axis of the strip (41), in the mass of the said strip (41) in an optically non-linear doped material, the said optical waveguide (44) interacting with means (45, 46, 47) of changing the optical frequency of the laser beam.
<??>A preferred application is the obtaining of a laser frequency double the fundamental frequency, making it possible, in the case of a neodymium laser, to obtain green radiation, useable for example in readers for digital optical disks.
