The method consists in programming the temperature of spaces to be heated, then monitoring the flow and return temperatures of the heated fluid, the rate of flow, the room temperature and external ambient temperature, in such a way as to obtain a heat output commensurate with the effective requirement of the system and thus achieve steady and maximized thermal efficiency without producing harmful flue emissions. The appliance consists in a battery of heat exchangers (8, 10, 63, 64), each comprising a combustion chamber (16, 17, 70, 71) that houses a relative burner (1, 58) in receipt of gas from the chamber of a single manifold (3, 60), by way of a respective valve axially aligned with the burner inlet, and extends upward into a vent (22, 74') through which hot gases rise to the flue; flexible diaphragms of thin and lightweight material, fitted to the outlets of each vent, serve to close off the passage to the flue whenever the relative burner shuts down.
|
