The method consists in manufacturing, by rolling, flat sheet piles (20) having, on each of the longitudinal edges of the web (22), a hook (claw) (24, 26) and in using these sheet piles to manufacture girders (beams) by welding, parallel to each other, two of these flat sheet piles with the aid of a metal sheet (28) so that the latter forms the web of the girder, the flanges of which are constituted by the flat sheet piles. <IMAGE>
