An ultrasonic distance measuring device comprises an ultrasonic head for sending and receiving ultrasound to/from an object, an amplifier, a detecting part, a temperature compensation part, a BCD adder, an arithmetic unit for comparing the signal detacted with a standard signal value, a setting part for obtaining average value of signals, an output unit offering high/low signal according to the output signal from the arithmetic unit, another output unit offering stead state values, another output unit offering four-digit BCD value from the arithmetic unit, and a displayer. A distance is measured by this ultrasonic distance measuring device contactlessly and accurately.
