It comprises a motor 1 joined to a cam 12 which acts on a plurality of connecting rods 7, 8, each one of which in turn actuates the corresponding piston 15 which compresses the air in the cylinder 2, 3, 4, 5, the cylinders 2, 3, 4, 5 being arranged radially with respect to the cam 12, and it is characterized in that the connecting rods 7, 8 associated with each one of the cylinders 2, 3, 4, 5 move in one and the same plane A-A', which is perpendicular to the axis 19 of the motor 1. Each one of the pistons 15 comprises a pair of slide bands 16, 17 mounted on the lateral surface thereof for guiding the piston 15 inside the cylinder 2, 3, 4, 5. The cylinders 2, 3, 4, 5 are in a single piece with the corresponding cylinder head 20. Vibrations are reduced and maintenance simplified. <IMAGE>
