<p>In order to improve the contrast of a synthetic image generator, the luminance compressions customarily employed are suppressed, a true luminosity computation is performed, the adaptation function of the eye is included when computing the true luminous energy output, this energy is integrated as a function of time, and the video components of the signal sent to the display system are normalised as a function of the luminous energy of the displayed image and of the possible dynamic range in image restoration. <IMAGE></p> |
