Saddle-shaped vehicle fuel tank - has venturi pump to transfer fuel and two=stage main fuel pump with low pressure stage

The saddle shaped fuel tank straddles the transmission tunnel of the vehicle and has the electric fuel pump (5) in one section. The fuel pump is two stage, with the high pressure output driving the fuel injection system. The low pressure section (18) has its output split between the input to the high pressure section and one feed (12) to a venturi pump (13) in the other fuel tank section. This transfers fuel to the pumped section. The venture pump is fed iwth fuel at fuel tank temperature, and not heated fuel surplus to the injection system. The main fuel pump operates from a well (10) to ensure fuel feed even when cornering. ADVANTAGE - No vapour bubbles to mar pump action, no electric pump required for other tank section.
