The worm gear consists of a globoidal screw and worm wheel, the globoidal worm wheel teeth each consist of two movable cogs (1, 2) into each of which are spring-mounted a bolt (3) by means of a flat steel spring (12) and screws (14). An adjusting-spring is axially adjustably mounted in the wheel (16). The bolts possess a cylindrical pin with thread. The cogs are centred in sprung grooves by means of flat steel springs, and contain pressurised-oil pockets connected by ducts to coupling holes and oil-ducts (10). Pressurised-oil couplings convey the oil by means of O-rings (6). ADVANTAGE - The efficiency of the worm gear is increased by reducing the throughflow volume of the lubricating oil by attaching one cog-flank to a pressurised medium pump, and by reducing the gap in the wheel-cog.
