A fire retardant file case consisting of a case body (D) and a case cover (D1). The fire retardant file case refers to either one having a binding fastener constituted by a fire retardant fabric binding strap or one having a catch formed by engaging a fire retardant hook-and-loop strap. There are four binding straps or overlapping fasteners formed by hook-and-loop straps or fire retardant binding straps. Both extremities of each fire retardant hook-and-loop strap or fire retardant binding strap are planted outward to the external. The binding straps or overlapping fasteners are provided at either extremity of one fire retardant hook-and-loop strap or fire retardant fabric binding strap. During use, the file case is fastened tight either by engaging the overlapping fasteners at corresponding points on either extremity of the fire retardant hook-and-loop strap or fire retardant fabric binding strap or by tying the binding strap into a bowknot to form the catch or binding fastener. The file case has the overlapping fasteners or binding straps that strap the file case provided inside and outside of the case body and of the case cover, breaks away from the inconvenience to archive works caused by using an industrial adhesive for fixing the binding straps of the file case, removes the shortcoming of the binding straps of the file case being prone to detachment and the hazards that formaldehyde poses to files and archive workers, is convenient to open and close, fastens firmly, and provides great fire retardation effects. |
