The steering unit has a rotary slide control valve and an orbit compressor. The valve consists of concentric control piston and sleeve, which are relatively turnable to a limited degree. Radial rows of short circuit bores in the sleeve, and corresponding grooves in the piston, form several parallel throttles. The grooves in the piston (2) are formed as semi-circular short circuit grooves (42) in the area of the adjustable throttle, and they have no direct connection to the piston interior. The grooves have downstream independent constant throttles (43). These are formed on one side by the inner bore surface of the control sleeve (3), and on the other side, by a rectangular groove in the piston. ADVANTAGE - Influences flow speed of throttled short circuit oil flow, to eliminate noise generation.
