An apparatus for controlling the dimming of a fluorescent lamp is provided to extend a life span by returning the fluorescent lamp to an initial state when turning on the lamp again and reducing the load of a stabilizer. An apparatus for controlling the dimming of a fluorescent lamp(400) includes a dimming controller(200), and a stabilizer(300). The dimming controller receives a wireless signal from a remote controller(100) which transmits a dimming controlling signal as the wireless signal, demodulates the wireless signal into an original signal, and generates and outputs the dimming controlling signal when the demodulated signal is the dimming controlling signal. The stabilizer controls the brightness of the lamp according to the dimming controlling signal, and performs the dimming operation. The dimming controller has a rectifying unit which full-wave rectifies a common AC power to make a DC power, a constant voltage supplying unit which converts the DC power to constant voltage, a receiving unit which receives the wireless dimming signal and demodulates the received signal into the original signal, a microprocessor which controls to generate the proper dimming signal, and a dimming signal generating unit which generates the dimming signal of the required level and supplies the generated signal to the stabilizer. The microprocessor stores a plurality of set frequencies in an inner memory, and uses the most different frequency according to the kinds of electronic products. The dimming controller and the stabilizer are installed separately to improve the signal interference and the operation characteristic of the product. |
