The vehicle frame (1) has in the travel direction (B) of the chopper behind the conditioner (4) a free space (15) with a platform (14) which can be accessed from one side. When not required the conditioner moves into this free space. The conditioner (4) is mounted displaceable on guides to move horizontally against the chopper travel direction into the non-operative position and in the chopper travel direction into the operative position. The conditioner has a housing (7) containing the two conditioning rollers sealed from the discharge channel (6) or housing (9) of a secondary accelerator (5).
