The valve has a housing (3) with coaxial intake and outlet, connected by an internal hollow chamber (4). The housing also has a hollow extended cover section. The hollow chamber contains a seat ring (7) near the intake, with a bevelled seat surface (21). A closure body (19) is adjustably connected to a hub element (15). This has an aperture, forming a shaft passage, the axis of which is offset relative to that of the seat ring. The front (20) of the closure is hemispherical, to engage sealing on the seat surface (21) of the ring. The rear closure surface carries a central bolt (17), so that it can be adjusted relative to the seat ring. A shaft in the cover section turns the hub element, to cause sealing.
