PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless LAN communication system and a wireless LAN communication device that can stabilize communication under the environment in which various wireless LAN communication devices are placed.SOLUTION: A wireless LAN communication device communicatively connected with at least one of the other wireless LAN communication device which serves as a communication destination determines the type of the other wireless LAN communication device which is the communication destination, sets the upper limit value of a link rate with the other wireless LAN communication device according to a predetermined method if it is determined that the other wireless LAN communication device is a type of control object device, and communicates with the other wireless LAN communication device at a link rate at the set upper limit value or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
