The invention applies to surgery of the shoulder and relates to an implant (1) intended for osteosynthesis of fractures of the upper end of the humerus. Such an implant is made of two pieces: it consists of a female component which is intended to be driven into the head of the humerus, and a male component which is intended to be embedded in the humeral diaphysis. The joining of the male component to the female component brings about the osteosynthesis of the fracture. In the case of the destruction of the humeral head, a prosthetic humeral head can be fitted on the top of the male component. <IMAGE>
