The rotary axis (13) of the flap (6) lies in the plane tensioned by the sealing edge (7) of the flap. On its side pointing outwards in the pipe (9) the flap (6) is connected to the bearing pin (4,5) by angled sections (19) engaging round the end of the pipe (9). These sections can lie in a plane parallel to the rotary axis and inclined to the plane of the flap valve. The pipe (9) is fixed in the housing (2) with one end radially spaced from the sealing seat (8). The flap valve (6) is pref. integral with the sections and bearing pins.
