This process aims to manufacture sheet metal having a multilayer structure possessing improved properties, especially in the field of deep-drawing (stamping). This process is principally characterised in that two sheets of similar thicknesses are used, having different metallurgical compositions, which are subjected to a differential heating operation so as to generate a defined linear thermal expansion in each sheet, this operation being carried out before or after installing, between these two sheets, a viscoelastic film which ensures that they are bonded.
