Weir dam

The dam to block water flow has a fixed base (1) for the weir with a number of neighbouring dam flaps (7) with an individual swing movement at their base. At least the separate swing flaps (7) have an elastic intermediate section (12) at the edges to give a watertight seal between the flaps (7) and/or the side walls (2,3) of the weir dam. The intermediate piece (12) is bent and/or folded towards the lower water level to give a swing movement in a variety of pitch angles with the flaps (7) to which they are bonded.The intermediate piece (12), to form a pocket seal, is of plastics and especially polypropylene and/or polyethylene, or a rubber with woven reinforcement.
