Fifthwheel coupling with an adjustable wear ring

In the case of a fifthwheel coupling with a wear ring (56) arranged on a coupling plate (12) and a lock part (16) of a coupling fastener (14) for receiving a fifthwheel kingpin (22), the wear ring (56) has a circular-cylindrical, inner bearing surface (94) corresponding to the circumferential surface (23) of the fifthwheel kingpin (22). Here, the wear ring (56) rests with a circular-cylindrical, outer bearing surface (96) on a corresponding, circular-cylindrical mating bearing surface (101, 101') in the coupling plate (12) in a manner which allows it to be rotated about the joint cylindrical axis (z) thereof, and the inner bearing surface (94) is arranged eccentrically with respect to the outer bearing surface (96). With the eccentric arrangement of the two bearing surfaces the play in the coupling fastener can be adjusted in a simple manner, by rotating the wear ring. <IMAGE>
