The sensor for increasing the linearity includes MgCr2O4-xTiO2 as a main constituent and small amount of alkali compound like Na2CO3 or Li2CO3, where x is 30-40 mol%. The method comprises steps : (a) mixing and drying MgO, Cr2O, and TiO2 to substitute TiO2 against MgCr2O4; (b) calcinating the dried powder for 1 hour under 1,000 deg. to form the spinnel structure; (c) mixing one of the alkali oxides to the calcinated powder; (d) second-calcinating the mixture at 900 deg.C; and (e) baking the second-calcinated power at 1,200-1,400 deg.C.
