A medication dispenser cap and container comprises a base (12) connected to the container (10) and including a non-circular, for example polygonal, indication portion with multiple points or nodes. A cover (14) which also has a non-circular shape is rotatably mounted to the base (12) and moveable into aligned closed position with the base (12). The base (12) includes multiple openings (26) around its periphery and the cover (14) includes one opening (30) which can be aligned with one of the base openings (26) to dispense medication, for example pills, from the container (10). The openings are aligned only when the cover (14) is offset with respect to the base (12). This exposes parts of the base (12) which may carry indicia that indicate when the dosage should be taken.
