An ovenable carton (44) which is formed of a blank so cut as to allow handle portions (36) to be formed from the sides of the constructed carton by folding upwardly or outwardly. This allows the carton to be handled after having been heated in an oven. The handles when formed remain integrally attached to the remainder of the carton, and furthermore the carton handles side flaps are adhered (46) below the lower edges of the handles to the carton base to ensure a strong bond to allow the carton to be safely carried by the handles when filled and at an elevated temperature after cooking. |
