A sensor and sealing unit (1) for a rolling bearing (2) in which a sealing shield (7) located so as to protect a space (6) housing rolling bodies (5) of the bearing (2) has an elastomeric element (14) defining an annular blind seat (20) and in which a magnetised ring (8) of the unit (1), adapted to cooperate with an external detector device, engages the annular seat (20) with radial interference and projects axially therefrom on the opposite side from the said space (6) and so as to leave an axial clearance (23) between the magnetised ring (8) and a base (12) of the annular seat (20) adjacent the shield (7); the magnetised ring (8) being snap-locked axially in the seat (20).
