PURPOSE: To provided a nuclear reactor which has an end wall piece which can separate foreign matters which causes disorder in operation of the nuclear reactor from a coolant and collects them. CONSTITUTION: A boiling water type nuclear reactor has a control bar guide tube which has end wall pieces respectively and a plurality of entrance ports 20 and coolant flows through it when the nuclear reactor is operated. A separated chamber 24 is disposed outside the entrance ports 20 and solid material fed by the coolant is separated in it to prevent the solid material from passing through the entrance ports 20 and entering into the guide tube. The coolant is turned by a baffle 28 in the chamber and all solid material are effected by centrifugal force and the solid material is not entered into the guide tube by this centrifugal force and gravity. |
