<p>An intrusion detector (10) employing a remote, 360 degree infrared detector (14). The detector (10) includes a base unit (12) with a receiver (26), controller (not shown), digital dialer (22) and power supply plug (17), a remote sensor (14) which is adjustable along a verticle axis and includes a 360 degree infrared motion sensor (49), and a hand held remote control unit (16) to arm and disarm the base unit (12). The remote sensor (14) may be selectively positioned to detect movement in a surrounding area defined by the user.</p> |
