When a knob (41) of a slide switch (10) is slid, a holder (40) slides integrally with the knob (41) inside a holder chamber (30a) in a holder support member (30). A movable contact (61), which touches and leaves a fixed contact (62), is fitted to the holder (40) and is changed over by the slide operation of the holder (40). A guide flange portion (46) is formed on the holder (40). Since this guide flange portion (46) is fitted to, and supported by, a guide groove (47), a force to slide the knob (41) will not cause the holder (40) to lean, and a smooth slide operation can be guaranteed.
