The noise suppression device has an audio device coupled to a loudspeaker (2) contained in the same room as the microphone (1) for the speech signals. Two signal extraction stages remove data from the signals fed to the loudspeaker (2) and provided by the microphone (1). The two signal extraction stages (10,20) are coupled directly and via a multiplier (27) with a controlled transfer function to a noise subtraction stage (30). The microphone (1) is housed in vehicle together with the loudspeaker (2), the transfer function being adjusted for the number of people in the vehicle.
