The invention concerns a casing for enclosing a transformer and associated equipment, such as fuses, diodes and the like. The casing has an essentially parallelepipedon configuration and comprises a base member (1), three solid side walls (1a, 1b, 1c) and a lid member. The fourth side wall consists of one or several bars (5) formed with grooves (4) therein and projecting vertically from the base member (1), into which grooves one or several wall-forming cards or plates (6, 7), forming wall elements, are insertable so as to form said fourth side wall together with the bars (5). The cards or plates (6, 7) have openings (9) therethrough for passage of electrical wires to and from the transformer, or viewing windows (8) for checking fuses and similar means enclosed in said casing.
