The controlling apparatus improves the productivity of the continuous coating process by reducing the coating deviation in the width direction. The controlling apparatus comprises: an air feeder(6) and its pipes(7) for supplying the compressed air through nozzle(5); an air chamber(8) with air-accelerating means(12) and a chamber exit(11) with a steel screen(13) perforated; and a moving lip(14) connected to the cylinder(16) by the cylinder rod(15).
