FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: method involves feeding folded sheets and rigidity members; maintaining folded sheets and rigidity members one adjacent to the other and joining them; controlling mutual position of sheets and rigidity members by blades. Apparatus for producing article 136, containing sheet 10 composed of first Z-folded part and second Z-folded part 180 and two rigidity members 22,24 connected to opposite outer parts 166 of folded sheet 10, has devices 26,12,28,20 for feeding and connecting folded sheet 10 and rigidity members 22,24; guide 20 engageable with blades 14 for pushing members of article 136 along it. Blades are made stepped to facilitate controlling of mutual position of article members. Guide 20 has shape allowing position of article members relative to blades 14 to be changed. Apparatus is further provided with reciprocating devices for feeding cards 20,24 and for alternating feeding of cards from two magazines 26,27. Adhesive applying is interrupted, when adhesive layer is applied to the whole area of folded sheet but areas adjacent to sheet edges. Devices 20, 87,88,89 control relative position of article members in lateral and longitudinal directions during joining operation. Article members are manufactured in channels provided with common drive 68, which may be switched off by device 110 independently of each channel, and plug or any other device 102 for quick disengagement and easy release and removal of operative device (for instance device 12) from one channel with minimum waiting time for other channels. EFFECT: increased efficiency, simplified method and apparatus and wider operational capabilities. |
