PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device capable of securing the visibility of the exterior seen through a display unit or the entire image outputted from the display unit, independently of a position or a posture of the display unit.SOLUTION: An image display device (a head-mounted display 10) comprises: a display that can display an image; and a display unit 11 that reflects image light emitted by the display and that at least has a transmission type deflection part 50. When it is detected that a posture of the display unit is in a vertical direction on the basis of e.g. an acceleration value outputted from a first sensor built in the display unit, a control box connected with the image display device via a cable performs image rotation and reduction processing of rotating the display image displayed on the display by 90 degrees and reducing it, and performs image shift processing of shifting a shorter direction central position of the display image from a longitudinal direction central position of a displayable region of the display in one direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 14 |
