PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a backlight device and a display device capable of preventing hue of a peripheral edge portion of a light emission region from being distinctive in comparison with hue of a central portion in light emission.SOLUTION: In an embodiment, a quantum dot sheet 50 has a light source 35, a light incident face 50A receiving light L1 from the light source 35, and a light emission face 50B positioned at a side opposite to the light incident face 50A, and includes quantum dots 56 and a binder resin 57, and a backlight device 20 includes the quantum dot sheet 50 through which a part of the light L1 from the light source 35 incident to the quantum dot sheet 50 is transmitted, and in which another part of the light L1 from the light source 35 is converted into light L2 of a wavelength different from the light L1 from the light source 35 by the quantum dots 56, so that the light L1 from the light source 35 transmitted through the quantum dot sheet 50 and the light L2 of which the wavelength is converted, are emitted from the light emission face 50B, and a first reflector 60 disposed on a side face 50C positioned between the incident face 50A and the light emission face 50B of the quantum dot sheet 50 and reflecting at least the wavelength-converted light L2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
