WASTEWATER TREATMENT METHOD

Provided is a wastewater treatment method that: remedies the drop in purification performance caused by clogging of filter beds, a problem that arises when using artificial wetlands to purify wastewater having high SS concentration, BOD and COD, especially organic wastewater, and by minimizing the increase in the number of steps required and the expansion in the required surface area of the artificial wetlands due to an increase in BOD and COD load, makes it possible to treat wastewater, particularly organic wastewater, with minimum labor and low environmental load. The wastewater treatment method provided comprises: a floc-forming step in which a polymer flocculant is added to wastewater to form floc; a solid-liquid separation step in which the floc is subjected to solid-liquid separation to obtain separated water; and a purification step in which artificial wetlands are used to purify the separated water.
