Provided are: a niobium silicide-based composite material which achieves a good balance between toughness and mechanical characteristics in an ultra-high temperature range (at 1,200°C or higher) at high levels; a high-temperature component which uses this niobium silicide-based composite material; and a high-temperature heat engine. A niobium silicide-based composite material according to the present invention is characterized by containing 13-23 at% of Si, 2.0-10 at% of Cr, 5.0-23 at% of Ti, 0.0-6.0 at% of Al, 0.10-8.0 at% of Zr, 1.0-8.0 at% of Hf, 0.0-2.0 at% of W, 0.10-6.0 at% of Sn, 3.1-8.0 at% of Mo and 0.20-5.0 at% of B, with the balance made up of Nb and unavoidable impurities. |
