The tipping mechanism (20) consists of a deformable parallelogram (30) which connects the rear window and a movable carriage (31). The carriage translates on a main support (40) connected to the bodywork. The parallelogram is constituted by a support (32) connected to the rear window, an arm (33) of a compensator (29) and a rod (34). The arm and rod are pivoted by their respective ends (33a,34a) about upper transverse spindles (35a,36a) carried by the support. The lower ends (33b,34b) of the arm and rod, pivot about lower transverse spindles (35b,36b) connected to the carriage. The carriage is mounted on the main support by guide spindles (37) with a spring (43) connected between the carriage and the support. The carriage engages a control cam (50) rotating about a spindle (47) carried by the main support.
