PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a matted aluminum material in which the reflectivity in the case the angle of incidence is 60 degrees is regulated to <=30%. SOLUTION: This matted aluminum material is the one contg. secondary phase particles in which the particle size is regulated to <=5μm and the volume ratio is regulated to 1.4 to 5%, having a surface in which dimples whose diameter lies in the range of 0.1 to 100μm are formed by alkali etching, in which r/d, i.e., the aspect ratio of the average depth (d) (μm) to the average radius (r) (μm) of the dimples is regulated to >=0.6, the residual area ratio (α) of the flat part is regulated to 0 to 30%, and the reflectivity in the case the angle of incidence is 60 degrees is regulated to <=30%. An excellent desired matted face can be obtd. even by a small etching loss.
