A cabinet with a drawer guided in removable manner therein contains a stopping or arresting device, which secures against removal an inserted drawer, but does not prevent the insertion of the drawer. The stopping device contains an operating element, which is bent from spring steel. This operating element forms both part of the arresting or stopping device and also the spring for pretensioning and optionally also the handle for drawing out the drawer.
