Transporting container e.g. for musical instrument accessories

The container consists of a bottom part and a lid. The bottom part and lid each have a baseplate (1). The two baseplates can be connected to each other in one plane to lie against each other to form the base element for a pedestal or stage extension. Each baseplate may have a shaped frame which can be brought against it. This has an insertion profile (22) to engage in a counter-profile at the edge of the baseplate. A profile liner of non-slip material may be fitted for use of the container as a pedestal.
