The strip has a multilayered structure with a cover layer (9) and a bottom layer (10) enclosing a moisture permeable layer containing an adsorber and an adsorbing layer (12). Independent claims are also included for the inclusion of layers saturated with antibacterial agents, for anti-allergy and anti-irritant layers, and for the process of bonding the layers in a mold under heat and pressure. Variants include the use of foam inserts for softness, fiber reinforcement for strength and the application of fungistats and perfumes. The adsorber can be activated charcoal, silica gel, aluminum oxide, zeolite. It is in loose granular form enclosed in a film (16) and can be removed and regenerated. Support and intermediate layers can be woven, knitted or non-woven fabrics of natural or synthetic fibers, e.g. cotton, wool, cellulose, polyamide or of leather, with a tear strength greater then 200 N. Intermediate layers can contain foamed polyurethane. The binder between layers can be a polyurethane or polyacrilate dispersion, latex, rubber, synthetic resin. Reinforcing layers can include carbon fibers, ceramics, glass.
